Joining a leading company with growth opportunities **Sodexo Chile is looking for Lifeguards to join our team.** If you are a responsible, attentive, and safety-oriented individual with experience as a lifeguard at swimming pools or recreational centers—and hold valid certifications—this is your opportunity! As a **Lifeguard**, you will be responsible for continuously monitoring pool and aquatic areas, preventing accidents, and responding promptly to emergency situations by executing rescue procedures, administering first aid, and performing resuscitation when necessary. Our services aim to deliver safe, comfortable, and high-quality environments for our clients and users—with special emphasis on safety, wellbeing, and people’s experience. **Responsibilities** * Conduct continuous surveillance of swimming pools and aquatic areas, maintaining constant attention on users. ‍ ️ * Prevent accidents by promptly identifying hazardous situations and unsafe behaviors. * Supervise and enforce safety rules and facility usage guidelines among users. * Execute aquatic rescue and lifesaving maneuvers during emergency situations. * Provide first aid and perform CPR as appropriate, following established protocols. * Properly use equipment and tools designated for rescue and emergency response. * Promptly report and document accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, or any situation that may compromise user safety. * Visually inspect pool area safety conditions and related facilities, reporting anomalies or defects. * Keep the designated surveillance and rescue area clear, orderly, and safe. * Support preparation and organization of recreational areas before, during, and after use. * Maintain courteous and respectful interactions with users, providing guidance and assistance as needed. * Participate in operationally defined emergency procedures and drills. * Strictly comply with Sodexo’s safety protocols, risk prevention measures, and established procedures. **Requirements** * Residency in the regions of **Tarapacá, Arica and Parinacota, Antofagasta, Atacama, and Coquimbo**. * Completed secondary education. * Availability to work rotating shifts under a **10x10 system**. * Minimum **1 year of experience as a Lifeguard**, preferably in swimming pools, recreational centers, hotels, sports complexes, clubs, or similar facilities. * Demonstrable experience in monitoring and rescuing users in swimming pools. * Valid **Lifeguard/Lifesaver certification**, compliant with applicable workplace requirements. * Valid training and/or certification in **first aid and CPR**. * Desirable certification in **AED use and operation**. * Knowledge of aquatic rescue and lifesaving techniques. * Ability to react effectively in emergency situations and make decisions under pressure. * Excellent observational skills, concentration, and sustained attention. * Strong communication skills and user-oriented attitude. * Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. * Physical fitness compatible with working at high geographical altitudes. **Benefits** * Opportunities for professional growth and development within the company. * A collaborative work environment. * Learning and training opportunities. * Joining a leading company in food services and Facility Management.
