**Job Opportunity – Data Centre Fibre Technician (m/f/d)**
**Location:** Santiago de Chile – 100% on-site
**Employment Type:** Full\-time
**Salary:** CLP 16\.000\.000 – 19\.000\.000 per year
**Key Responsibilities:**
\- Install, replace, and remove fibre optic jumpers and cabling within the data centre.
\- Perform **rack \& stack**, routing, labelling, and cable management tasks.
\- Respond to technical tickets, locate faults, replace components, and conduct connectivity testing.
\- Execute fibre optic installations, terminations, testing, and troubleshooting.
\- Work with **single\-mode and multi\-mode** fibre optic cabling.
\- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of completed work.
\- Manage materials and components required to perform technical tasks.
\- Strictly follow operational procedures, technical documentation, and safety protocols.
\- Rapidly identify and escalate technical blockers or issues.
**Requirements:**
\- Experience as a technician in **data centre, telecommunications, critical infrastructure, or similar environments**.
\- Practical experience working with **fibre optic and structured cabling**.
\- Knowledge of fibre optic installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
\- Experience with **single\-mode and multi\-mode** fibre.
\- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices.
\- Ability to work independently following procedures and technical documentation.
\- Excellent attention to detail and methodical problem-solving skills.
\- **Fluent English, both spoken and written – mandatory requirement.**
\- Availability to work **100% on-site in Santiago de Chile**.
\- Comfort working in an industrial environment involving physical activity and equipment handling.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
\- Prior specific experience in **data centres**.
\- Experience using **ticketing systems**.
\- Certifications such as **BICSI, CFOT, CompTIA A\+ or Network\+**.
\- Experience in **rack \& stack and cable management**.
