Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Corporation jointly hold an indirect 30% interest. **Job Description** ------------------------- **Closing Date: 10\-07\-2026** Reporting to the Concentrator Operations Supervisor, the **Concentrator Plant Operator** is responsible for supporting necessary inspection, management, and operation of equipment and processes to ensure optimal and safe concentrator production. The position will be based at the Quebrada Blanca site, located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level, on a rotating 7x7 shift schedule. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and champion safety and environmental rules and procedures. * Operate and monitor essential plant utility systems—such as water, compressed air, steam, and power—ensuring their availability according to basic process requirements. * Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to detect obvious deviations or failures and report them promptly. * Comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations by following standard procedures to prevent risks and ensure safe operations. * Operate mobile and semi-mobile support equipment with internal certification, ensuring efficient and safe usage. * Comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations, ensuring that utility operations pose no risk to personnel nor cause negative impacts. **Requirements** -------------- Completed secondary education A technical industrial qualification at the secondary or tertiary level in metallurgy, chemistry, mechanics, electricity, electronics, or mining is desirable.
