Teck holds an indirect 60% interest in the mine. Reporting to the Mine Reliability Manager, the **Mine Maintenance Engineer** will be responsible for developing and optimizing mine maintenance strategies, ensuring asset reliability and availability through execution of plans, equipment health monitoring, and implementation of continuous improvements, guaranteeing compliance with HSEC standards and contributing to operational efficiency and sustainability of operations. This position will be based at the Quebrada Blanca site, located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level, operating on a 7x7 day shift schedule. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and sponsor rules, regulations, critical controls, and safety and environmental procedures. * Develop strategies to optimize mine equipment design, material selection, and configuration, contributing to improved maintainability and operational efficiency. * Oversee proper execution of mine maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with company operational and HSEC standards. * Continuously evaluate maintenance systems and processes, escalating continuous improvement initiatives to optimize mine equipment performance. * Implement improvements in defective maintenance processes, driving asset performance and optimizing key indicators. * Implement and monitor asset health management programs, maximizing mine equipment availability and reliability. * Implement risk identification and reporting processes, ensuring a safe working environment aligned with Health, Safety, Environment, and Community (HSEC) regulations. * Implement improvement projects (OPEX and CAPEX) and/or mine equipment maintainability initiatives to meet production forecast designs and improvements. * Monitor and stay informed about mine operational contingencies, ensuring timely and protocol-aligned responses. * Continuously evaluate maintenance strategies, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with required operational parameters. **Requirements** -------------- * Professional degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 3 years of mining experience focused on maintenance, reliability, and/or asset management of mine equipment. * Knowledge of Mine Equipment Fleet maintenance: trucks and auxiliary equipment. * Experience managing Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Programs. * Class B driver’s license. * Availability to work at the Quebrada Blanca site, located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level, on a 7x7 shift schedule. **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
