We consider inclusion and diversity as fundamental to meeting present and future challenges******.*** ARAUCO is seeking a **Wildfire Brigade Operator / Chainsaw Operator** for Arauco, who will continuously support silvicultural tasks, wildfire prevention, and **wildfire suppression and containment operations**. We challenge ourselves to form **ground-based brigades** capable of responding efficiently and promptly to forest emergencies, where personal and team safety must be the top priority; thus, we seek a highly motivated individual, oriented toward continuous learning, and able to assume a leading role in performing their duties. The **primary objective of this position** is to construct control lines in various firefighting scenarios using the equipment assigned to the brigade (e.g., water, suppressants, and manual or mechanical tools—and combinations thereof) to perform fire containment and extinguishment tasks, as well as carry out silvicultural work. The **main responsibilities** are: * Conduct direct, parallel, or indirect attack to establish and maintain the control line according to instructions from the Brigade Coordinator, working safely and efficiently. Use water equipment during suppression and containment operations. * Comply with, and ensure compliance with, internal, legal, environmental, and occupational risk prevention regulations required by the Company across all its facilities. * Promptly report all incidents, damages, or hazardous conditions to the immediate supervisor. * Know and apply basic safety standards for wildfire control and extinguishment, along with protective measures, receiving and complying with instructions. * Perform silvicultural tasks during winter season at the establishment level, including plantation management and other related activities. **Requirements:** * Completed secondary education. * At least one season of experience as a Wildfire Brigade Operator (Chainsaw Operator). * Availability to work on a 10x5 shift schedule. * Availability to perform duties in Arauco and surrounding areas.
