Position requirements: 1\. Professional degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering in Civil Works, Civil Engineering with Transportation specialization, Highway Engineering, or related field, with bachelor’s degree or higher. Solid knowledge of road engineering—especially geometric road design—is required. 2\. Minimum five (5\) years of experience in road project design. Experience as Head of Road (Geometric) Design and knowledge of the Chilean Highway Manual and other applicable regulations will be valued. 3\. Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills. 4\. Advanced proficiency in computer tools and road engineering software, such as ISTRAM, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, among others. 5\. Availability to travel to field sites and construction sites as required by the project. Job description: 1\. Act as internal technical counterpart in reviewing design documents, with emphasis on road engineering specialties (geometric design, earthworks, pavements, drainage, etc.), and additionally support review of related disciplines when required. 2\. Support project design management, including technical coordination with the Fiscal Inspection (IF) and design consultants, as well as schedule monitoring, quality control, and progress tracking of works. 3\. Conduct internal studies and analyses of road alternatives, providing technical recommendations for RutaSur’s decision-making. 4\. Participate in technical meetings and coordination sessions with the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), the Fiscal Inspection (IF), design consultants, and contractors.
