We are bridging two worlds—advancing toward more sustainable energy sources while simultaneously helping provide the energy, chemicals, and resources needed today. **Position Purpose:** Help us achieve our purpose by developing structural engineering solutions that enable a more sustainable world. **Key Responsibilities:** * Be part of the Structural discipline team, performing engineering designs compliant with applicable legal regulations, delivered on time and within budget, and providing construction support (site assignment). * Develop discipline-specific documentation (calculation reports, design criteria, technical specifications, etc.). * Review discipline-specific documentation (calculation reports, requisitions, quantity take-offs, detailing drawings, reinforcement drawings, etc.). * Lead teams comprising structural engineers and designers. * Monitor project progress against schedule and budget. * Apply a focus on sustainability, safety, and technical integrity in design across all assigned projects. * Coordinate design with other disciplines and with the client. * Coordinate quality assurance, resolution of outstanding items, and modifications to already-issued drawings. * Experience and capability in designing steel structures (warehouses, industrial buildings) and reinforced concrete structures (foundations, retaining walls, etc.). **What You’ll Bring:** Technical consulting experience of more than 12 years on projects, preferably industrial and mining projects, acting as a structural calculation engineer and team leader (engineers/designers). **Knowledge:** * Experience in consulting for mining and lithium engineering projects. * Familiarity with technical design standards (NCh, ACI, AISC). * Proficiency in STAAD Pro or SAP2000\. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Mathcad, and programming languages (Visual Basic, Python). * Preparation of proposals for the Structural discipline. * Participation across various stages of engineering project development: conceptual, pre-feasibility, feasibility, definition, and detailed design. **Position Requirements:** * Academic qualification: Civil Engineer. * Language: Intermediate English proficiency preferred. * Mandatory experience: Execution of engineering work across all phases for mining projects. * Preferred experience: Leading teams. **Location and Work Modality:** * Base/Work Location: Santiago (Chile). * Work Modality: Hybrid (Santiago). Health compatibility required for site visits or field assignments. * Fixed-term contract for 2 months, with high likelihood of extension.
