We are currently seeking a **QA/QC Manager** for a major mining project located in the Fourth Region. **Conditions:** * Shift: 4x3 * Location: Los Vilos * Contract Type: Two fixed-term periods of two months each, followed by an indefinite-term contract. **Objective:** Lead and supervise quality control and assurance in pipeline construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, technical standards, and industry best practices. Additionally, coordinate and manage activities related to the installation of the TiteLiner internal thermoplastic coating system, ensuring its proper implementation according to technical specifications and client requirements. **Responsibilities:** 1\. Design, implement, and supervise quality assurance and control processes aligned with national and international regulations. 2\. Analyze and mitigate operational quality-related risks, ensuring continuous process improvement. 3\. Apply methodologies such as Kaizen and Six Sigma to optimize processes, reduce defects, and improve operational efficiency. 4\. Manage non-conformance handling and supervise the implementation of corrective and preventive actions in projects. 5\. Evaluate key QA/QC performance indicators, using statistical tools for decision-making and process optimization. 6\. Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with national regulations (NCh, MOP) and international standards (API, ASME, AWS, ASTM, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001\). 7\. Participate in strategic meetings with clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment with quality and operational objectives. 8\. Identify and evaluate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) service providers and review EDPs (Engineering Data Packages) from suppliers associated with the QA/QC department. 9\. Prepare monthly performance reports for the QA/QC area, presenting deviation analyses and improvement proposals. 10\. Conduct biannual surveys to assess customer perception and satisfaction regarding service and process quality. 11\. Recognize preventive or mitigating controls associated with assigned tasks. 12\. Identify energy sources present in assigned tasks. **Requirements:** * Academic Qualification: Mechanical Engineering – Civil or Industrial Engineering – Engineering in Execution * Minimum 5 years of experience * Knowledge of pipelines, welding, and/or electromechanical assembly in large-scale projects * Proficiency in SPF, Aconex – SharePoint – Microsoft 365 platforms * Familiarity with international standards including ASME, API, ISO, and ASTM * Training in Visual Inspection, Liquid Penetrant Testing, and Ultrasonic Testing per SNT\-TC\-1, Level II; Internal Auditor Course; Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) Course.
