**Senior Engineer**
**Primary Function:**
The primary function is to lead the long-term mine planning area, developing and optimizing mining designs and projects through the integration of geological, geomechanical, operational, and economic variables to generate strategic and cost-effective plans. All of the above is carried out efficiently, safely, with quality, and with a focus on safe production, thereby ensuring operational continuity of the area.
**Essential Functions:**
1\. Develop and optimize phase, dump, ROM, and stockpile designs, applying geomechanical, operational, and economic criteria.
2\. Prepare long-term mine plans: five-year Budgets and Forecasts, Life-of-Mine (LOM) plans, strategic plans, and expansion project plans.
3\. Manage the preparation and control of reserve, resource, production, and operational reporting documents, ensuring information quality and reliability.
4\. Develop, evaluate, and optimize mine plans through analysis of technical, economic, operational, regulatory, and environmental variables, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
5\. Generate analyses, reports, and recommendations for planning, budgeting, and strategic decision-making, supporting feasibility studies and business cases.
6\. Lead team development, promoting best practices in mine planning, safety, and environmental stewardship.
7\. Perform activities that promote and impact safety, environmental protection, energy efficiency, gender equality, and operational excellence.
8\. Execute any other tasks within their area of responsibility as assigned.
**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**
\- Degree in Mining Civil Engineering.
\- Minimum 8 years of experience in mine planning.
\- Experience in mining design and preparation of LOM plans, Forecasts, and strategic studies.
\- Proficiency in mine planning tools such as MineSight, MPSO, NPVS, or equivalents.
\- Class B driver’s license with at least 2 years of validity.
\- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
\- Intermediate English.
