**Job Description:**
Supervises, plans, and executes the preparation of technical documents within their discipline and proposes solutions to engineering challenges, defining foundational principles, scopes, and overall conceptualizations for studies and/or engineering designs, in accordance with Arcadis’ quality, health, and safety policies. Participates in the training and development of drafters and engineers at lower career levels.
**Job Responsibilities:**
A professional responsible for technically leading the development of tailings storage facility and associated hydraulic works projects, providing guidance and supervision to engineers at various levels, ensuring the technical quality and compliance of discipline-specific deliverables. Actively participates in the training of young professionals and in the development of the discipline, coordinating activities, monitoring, and controlling multidisciplinary projects across various engineering phases. Additionally, provides specialized technical solutions for complex and large-scale projects, acting as Project Coordinator and/or Discipline Lead, with a strong focus on Tailings and Hydraulics.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
* Civil Engineer (Civil Works, Geotechnics, Hydraulics, Mechanics) with 8–12 years of professional experience in related roles.
* Implementation of the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) and familiarity with international standards such as CDA and MAC.
* Experience in operation, engineering, and planning of tailings storage facility projects, including associated hydraulic aspects.
* Preparation and review of discipline-specific technical deliverables, such as water balances, tailings storage facility expansion plans, simulations, and FMEA/ALARP analyses.
* Knowledge of tailings transport and distribution, water recirculation, and multidisciplinary integration of engineering.
* Desirable experience in tailings storage facility closure and participation in technical publications or presentations at specialized conferences.
