**The Challenge Ahead**

At Escondida \| BHP, you will have the opportunity to play a key role that amplifies the impact of the Head of Transformation through strategic coordination, tracking of critical initiatives, stakeholder management, and generation of actionable insights to support timely decision-making and achievement of organizational objectives.
You will be fundamental to delivering strategic outcomes—removing execution barriers, coordinating key stakeholders, and ensuring rigorous tracking of priority initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
---------------------------------
As Principal PMO, you will be responsible for:
**Safety and Health:**
* Add value to the company and management by integrating BOS practices [8, 9 and 10]; identifying and analyzing deviations to then design, manage, and control measures for eliminating and/or mitigating health and/or safety risks across functions.
* BHP’s top priorities include the company-wide objective of “identifying risks that may affect people”.
**Environment, Sustainability and Social Value:**
* Add value to the environment and our society by maintaining collaborative work with diverse stakeholders to implement initiatives with positive impacts on environmental remediation, community relations, and environmental sustainability. This includes alignment with BOS practices [2 and 11], treating our entire external environment—including environmental, community, regulatory, and decarbonization plans—as our customer.
* The long-term health of our business depends on the health of our society and a natural, sustainable environment.
**Productivity and Costs:**
* Maintain safe and reliable operational performance.
* Add value to the business and our shareholders through disciplined and challenging planning, generating opportunities for continuous improvement.
**What We Expect From You**

We seek individuals who have:
* A professional engineering degree in any specialization.
* At least 5 years of work experience in mining-related management processes.
* Knowledge of cross-functional information systems [Intermediate level – ability to view, extract reports, and load reports and data] [Fiori – 1SAP – EMS – WAVE].
* Strategic leadership and systemic thinking.
* Focus on quality and operational excellence.
* Analytical thinking and process structuring capability.
* Stakeholder influence and management.
* Effective communication and collaborative orientation.
* Strong focus on continuous improvement.
* General knowledge of occupational safety and health management in mining operations.
* Proficiency with corporate platforms such as Tempo and SharePoint.
