Job Summary\*\* We are seeking a Chemist B to perform complex chemical analyses on various mineral samples, following established protocols and ensuring result quality. Job Responsibilities\*\* * Sample receipt, weighing, and digestion. * Volumetric preparation and solution preparation for Cu concentrate analysis. * Moisture determination and volumetric titration of Cu concentrate samples using traditional volumetry. * Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality (ISO 17025\), and environmental regulations. * Collaborate with other team members to optimize laboratory processes. * Document all procedures, results, and deviations in detail. * Participate in technical problem resolution and continuous improvement of analytical methods. Job Qualifications\*\* * Hold a professional or technical degree from a program of at least four semesters, or hold a state-recognized technical\-vocational secondary education license. In both cases, the field of study must be chemistry, industrial, or metallurgical. * Minimum one year of relevant work experience in a mineral (Cu) analytical laboratory. * Demonstrable experience operating laboratory equipment such as GC, GC/MS, ICP, and HPLC. * Solid knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory techniques. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures. * Written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of ISO 17025 quality standards is an advantage. **Working at ALS** The ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
