La Coipa poured its first gold bar in March 2022 after resuming operations following suspension in 2013. Kinross is conducting an exploration program to potentially extend the mine’s life. Kinross Chile has built strong relationships with its host communities based on trust and respect through engagement and consultation. The operation is powered 100% by non-conventional renewable energy to meet its power requirements. **Position Description** -------------------------- Ensure efficient planning and coordination of inbound and outbound logistics activities while safeguarding personnel safety, to maintain the company’s operational continuity in accordance with Kinross’ Procurement Policies. **Position Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Maintain safe, incident-free operations at logistics operator facilities, ports, airports, and during material transport until arrival and unloading at Mantos de Oro warehouse. * Develop and oversee logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-optimal delivery of spare parts, supplies, and services for warehouse storage or direct delivery to end users. * Coordinate with suppliers and warehouses to maintain uninterrupted material flow and prevent process disruptions. * Liaise with authorities to timely obtain permits ensuring Kinross’ cargo logistics. * Monitor off-site deliveries to ensure compliance with contractual timelines. * Monitor and manage cargo shipments to ensure adherence to the planned schedule. * Ensure personnel safety within assigned processes. * Lead teams to achieve company objectives, facilitate employee development in a positive work environment, and promote Kinross values. * Identify improvements in logistics and activation processes to enhance efficiency and cost optimization. * Prepare logistics and activation performance reports and analyses to monitor key process indicators. * Perform any other duties assigned by management related to this role. **Education and Experience** --------------------------- * Professional degree in Industrial Civil Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Operations Management Engineering, Business Engineering, Industrial Execution Engineering, Management Control, Business Administration, or related field. * Experience in mining logistics. * Intermediate-level computer proficiency. * Knowledge of road freight transportation regulations, import processes, materials handling, and stakeholder relationship management (suppliers, communities, government entities, Carabineros). * Dangerous substances transportation (Supreme Decree No. 43, NCh 2245, and FPA), and knowledge of procurement and/or logistics and inventory policies. * ERP system knowledge and experience. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Required English Level: Intermediate 1 Kinross is a senior global gold mining company headquartered in Canada, with operations and projects in the United States, Brazil, Mauritania, Chile, and Canada.
