Job Summary: Execute the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications services, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Key Highlights: 1. Fiber optic and satellite television installation and configuration. 2. On-site technical fault diagnosis and resolution. 3. Customer guidance on basic equipment usage. **Location:** Antofagasta, Chile (100% on-site work). **Reports to:** Operations Supervisor / Field Manager. Position Objective Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications services (fiber-optic Internet and satellite television) at residential and commercial premises, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and end-customer satisfaction. Main Responsibilities * **Technical Installation:** Deploy fiber-optic cabling (FTTH) and install satellite television antennas (DTH), including mounting, alignment, and configuration of terminal equipment (ONT/Routers and Set-Top Boxes). * **Configuration and Testing:** Verify proper signal reception, conduct speed tests, and ensure all contracted services are fully operational. * **Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:** Diagnose and resolve technical faults reported by users on-site. * **Regulatory Compliance:** Strictly adhere to occupational safety protocols (e.g., fall prevention and confined-space safety) and company technical standards. * **Documentation Management:** Complete installation certificates, customer acceptance forms, and daily activity reports using digital systems. * **Customer Service:** Advise customers on basic equipment operation and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Profile Requirements * **Residence:** Mandatory residence in the city of **Antofagasta**. * **Education:** Intermediate or higher-level technical qualification in Telecommunications, Electricity, Electronics, or related fields. * **Technical Knowledge:** * Proven experience in fiber-optic deployment and splicing. * Solid knowledge of satellite television antenna installation and alignment. * Proficiency with measurement tools (Power Meter, OTDR, multimeter). * Basic understanding of LAN/WAN networks and end-user equipment configuration. * **Soft Skills:** Ability to solve problems under pressure, service orientation, proactivity, and integrity. * **Legal Requirements:** Valid Class B driver’s license (mandatory). Working Conditions * **Work Mode:** On-site fieldwork (daily mobility within the region). * **Schedule:** Shift-based system (including weekends, as required by operations). * **Safety:** Personal protective equipment (PPE) and certified tools provided.
