We encourage you to take the time to explore the opportunity of building a career with Freeport\-McMoRan. **Description** --------------- **Surveyor** **Primary Function:** To perform various tasks related to surveys, layout work, drafting, engineering projects, and volume calculations in plant, mine, Ascotán, and other company areas. Additionally, to possess the necessary knowledge to operate available surveying instruments. All of the above must be performed efficiently, safely, with quality, and with a focus on safe production, thereby ensuring operational continuity within the area. **Essential Functions:** \- Conduct topographic surveys and progress controls at waste dumps, mine areas, permanent stockpiles, and stockpiles. \- Perform topographic layout work for mining, industrial, road, operational improvement, and blast hole projects, according to requirements from various departments. \- Develop daily, weekly, or monthly volume calculations and volumetric analyses as needed for operational and production control purposes. \- Operate photogrammetric and multispectral drones, conducting flights for topographic surveys, inspections, and data capture both inside and outside the site. \- Generate and deliver reliable and timely topographic information, supporting planning, operational control, and decision-making across various management levels. \- Carry out activities that promote and impact safety, environmental stewardship, energy efficiency, gender equality, and operational excellence. \- Perform any other tasks assigned within their area of responsibility. **Qualifications** ------------------ **Minimum Requirements:** \- Technical Higher Education Degree in Surveying or a related field. \- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in open-pit mining. \- Class B driver’s license with at least 2 years of validity. **Preferred Qualifications:** \- Commitment to occupational health and safety. \- Commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and efficient energy use. \- Commitment to community engagement, gender equality, and work-life-family-personal life balance. \- Orientation toward continuous improvement. \- Willingness to collaborate and work effectively in teams. \- Results-oriented mindset. \- Analytical and problem-solving skills. \- Proficiency in software: Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD 2025, Civil 2025 or later, MineSight, I\-Site, Excel, Word, Agisoft Metashape, Propeller, Maptek Point Studio. **Direct Supervisor: Engineer I** **\*\* \*\*** **1 vacancy, 4x3 shift** **\*\* \*\*** **Application deadline: August 31, 2026** Sociedad Contractual Minera El Abra is an inclusive company with an active equal opportunity policy.
