




Job Summary: This general assistant role provides support for the operation and maintenance of the BHS system at Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport. Key Responsibilities: 1. General support for BHS system operation and maintenance 2. Resolution of baggage-related issues and correction of injection errors 3. Technical assistance and resolution of minor system problems The incumbent will provide general assistant support for the operation and maintenance of the BHS (baggage sorting system) at Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago de Chile. Responsibilities include resolving baggage-related issues, correcting injection errors, clearing tray/baggage jams that may occur within the system, and performing technical cleaning. The incumbent will assist technicians (mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical) and resolve minor system issues such as misaligned photoelectric sensors or similar problems. What will your responsibilities be? · - Carry out all assignments given by supervisory staff. - Adhere to the established shift schedule; if necessary, cover absences of relief staff or provide any additional support requested by the back office. - Perform general assistant duties related to preventive maintenance, general cleaning, and corrective maintenance of the BHS. - Respond to alarm calls or system failures during operations, as assigned. - Report any electromechanical anomalies occurring in the system to supervisors. What would we like you to have? · - No prior experience required, but it is a plus if you have experience or have worked as a machine operator, production line operator, or warehouse worker. - Familiarity with and ability to identify basic mechanical tools is desirable. - Skills: proactivity, teamwork, responsibility, punctuality, initiative, good communication. · What do we offer? · - Net salary: $720,000 - Schedule: 42-hour weekly work schedule under a rotating shift system (6x2), including a 30-minute meal break, distributed as follows: Morning shift: 08:00–16:00 hrs Afternoon shift: 16:00–00:00 hrs Night shift: 00:00–08:00 hrs - TPA card (Centropuerto) enabling free bus transportation to the airport for commuting to work. - For shifts starting or ending at 00:00 hrs, we provide door-to-door transfer service for the following communes: San Bernardo, Macul, La Florida, El Bosque, La Granja, Pudahuel, Maipú, Lo Prado, Santiago Centro, Estación Central, San Joaquín, Cerro Navia, Renca. - Work uniforms and all necessary safety equipment to ensure safe job performance. - Fixed-term contract for 3 months, with subsequent renewal to an indefinite-term contract. - Requirements - Minimum education: Secondary education (Humanities/Technical track) Years of experience Age: 18 years or older Knowledge: Equipment management, Problem solving, Customer service Driver's license: Class B Keywords: operator, operario, operator
