**The Position We Are Offering**
CAE is seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn **Simulator Technician I** to join our team in **Santiago, Chile**.
As a Simulator Technician I, you will help ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of CAE’s advanced flight training devices. This entry-level position offers structured technical training, hands-on simulator experience, and a pathway toward a specialized career in simulation technology.
You will work in simulation areas, providing support in maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational readiness alongside a dedicated Technical Services team.
**Key Responsibilities**
Technical and Maintenance Support
* Perform routine technical tasks on-site.
* Learn and carry out preventive maintenance activities on simulators and associated systems.
* Assist in diagnosing and resolving simulator issues.
* Record and track maintenance activities using maintenance management systems.
Operational Tasks
* Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks on assigned simulators.
* Perform basic visual alignments.
* Execute automated tests from the Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
* Support hardware refurbishment and upgrade projects.
Training and Compliance
* Complete all required training modules and certifications.
* Learn and comply with CAE’s Quality Management System and safety standards.
* Assist with compliance documentation and audit preparation.
Customer and Operational Support
* Provide timely customer service and support during training operations.
* Maintain simulator cleanliness and operational readiness.
* Perform logistical tasks such as receiving parts, testing components, performing repairs, and validation.
* Support the Technical Services team with administrative and assigned tasks.
**Minimum Requirements**
* Technical diploma or engineering degree in: Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related fields in aviation and technology.
* 0\-2 years of relevant technical experience.
* Availability to work rotating 4x2 shifts, 40 hours per week.
* Ability to interpret electrical system diagrams and schematics.
* Proficiency in using test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).
* Knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
* Computer literacy.
* Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Intermediate level of English.
**Physical Requirements**
* Frequent climbing up and down stairs, scaffolds, ramps, and poles.
* Frequent changes in body position, including working in confined spaces.
* Occasional static standing or sitting.
* Frequent lifting, lowering, or moving objects weighing up to 20 kilograms.
* Constant communication with others to exchange information.
* Frequent repetitive motions of wrists, hands, or fingers.
