A world-leading company in inspection, verification, analysis, training, and certification requires a Chemical Analyst, Laboratory Chemist, Senior Technician in Chemical Analysis, or related professional for the position of Chemist A to perform duties at a chemical laboratory near Calama. 7x7 rotating shift Job Description Perform various laboratory analysis services related to the composition, properties, and reactions of chemical and physical elements comprising the samples. This includes implementing methodologies at all levels of complexity and being responsible for compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies and standards. Main responsibilities include: * Ensure correct execution of assigned analytical methods or determinations, including performing verification calculations, safeguarding results and materials under one's responsibility, and recording data within established timeframes. * Procure, ensure availability of, or prepare necessary materials, equipment, and/or accessories for laboratory analyses, handling chemical reagents and controlling their quality prior to use. * Ensure and comply with all activities related to sample handling, preparation of reagents and standards, as well as integrity of results according to current procedures. Requirements * Formal Education: Chemical Engineer or Bachelor of Chemistry * Experience: Minimum 3 years overall experience, including at least 2 years in mineral laboratories * Minimum required competencies: Proficiency in Good Laboratory Practices, knowledge of Quality Standards, and proficiency in mineral analysis techniques or methodologies. * Experience in Atomic Absorption (mandatory) * Preferably reside in Calama
