Finning, a strategic partner of CATERPILLAR and leader in equipment distribution and services, is searching for top talent to fulfill the role of **Senior Technician (A).** **Job Description Summary:** Will be responsible for diagnosing major components and systems, performing major repairs, and coordinating work execution. Works in the workshop or in the field as required. Assists the supervisor and may make decisions of moderate responsibility. May supervise the installation and removal of components. May substitute for the Supervisor in specific functions or tasks, or in field activities. **Primary Job Responsibilities:** * Diagnoses, evaluates, and generates work orders using Caterpillar’s technical and administrative software. * Analyzes written materials such as service manuals, parts manuals, and mechanical and maintenance forms. * Prepares Service Reports. * Performs repairs across the general product line and provides repair recommendations. * Conducts testing, adjustments, and fault diagnosis in the field and workshop. **Requirements:*** Graduate technician from an Institute or University, specializing in automotive mechanics, electronics, or electricity. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of mining industry equipment. * Willingness to work on a rotating 7x7 shift schedule (day and night). * Medical fitness compatible with performance at high geographic altitude.
