Support the development of more junior colleagues. **Senior Infrastructure Engineer** ================================== Our Hosting team delivers InterSystems solutions as hosted or managed services worldwide. As an increasing number of customers migrate to hosted solutions, we are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Chile, support our Latin American customers, and help us maintain the high levels of availability, performance, and security that our customers expect from us. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, solve complex challenges, propose continuous improvements, and generate visible impact within the organization. **Responsibilities – Implementation** -------------------------------------- * Collaborate with colocation partners to design appropriate cage, rack, and server deployments, ensuring continuous availability of space, power, and cooling to support current and future solutions. * Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams in designing solutions that maximize performance, efficiency, and operational readiness of hosted services. * Lead and/or participate in provisioning and deployment of servers, networks, and other hosting-related equipment, including hands-on installation and configuration tasks when required. * Participate in implementation of new applications and changes, ensuring all service components are documented, monitored, and integrated into the company’s operational processes. * Perform certification and validation testing of new hardware platforms for production use. * Engage with various stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle to secure pre-operational approvals and ensure solutions meet or exceed performance, security, availability, and response time objectives. * Support resolution of integration-related issues. * Advise technical stakeholders, including customers, on delivery of hosted solutions. **Responsibilities – Operations** ----------------------------------- * Administer and maintain hosted solutions and associated infrastructure (firewalls, switches, IBM Power Series servers, Dell PowerFlex, Dell PowerEdge, etc.), including proactive identification and resolution of potential incidents, backup management, and general maintenance. * Participate in definition, documentation, operation, and continuous improvement of ITIL-based operational processes, including incident, change, problem, and configuration management. * Define, implement, monitor, and report metrics required to deliver highly available services, as well as to satisfy requirements from management, engineering, customer support, and end customers. * Provide technical support across all areas related to hosted services, including participation in 24x7 on-call rotations, ensuring timely incident resolution and implementation of approved changes. * Drive automation of hosting-related processes, including change deployment, new service implementation, inventory management, security scanning, and service-level reporting. **Requirements and Qualifications** ------------------------------- * Advanced English (minimum B2 level, ideally C1), with ability to conduct technical and professional conversations with teams in North America and Europe. * Solid hands-on experience in hosting infrastructure and data centers. * Experience implementing and administering SAN storage, ideally with IBM FlashSystem and Dell PowerStore. * Practical experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Certifications in these platforms will be considered an advantage. * Experience in networking and firewalls, ideally Cisco (Routing, ASA, FTD), plus knowledge of load balancers and Global Load Balancing DNS solutions. * Experience implementing and administering VMware 8.x. Experience with Nutanix will be considered a plus. * Experience implementing and administering Linux, especially RHEL 8.x or later. * Experience with Veritas (NetBackup, Backup Exec) and Veeam, including configuration and operation. * Experience administering Windows domains and Active Directory. * Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (ideally Nagios or CheckMK). * Knowledge of configuration management tools (ideally Puppet and/or Red Hat Satellite). * Experience automating tasks using technologies such as Ansible, Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Puppet. * Knowledge of ITIL principles and application. * Ability to support and develop more junior colleagues. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent customer orientation. * Interest and ability to acquire complex technical skills. * More than 8 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, or equivalent role. **Location:** Ciudad Empresarial, Huechuraba, Región Metropolitana. *This position is offered under Chilean Law No. 21.015 on Labor Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.
