That is why we work—and that is what we do! **Purpose of the Position:** Perform mechanical and/or structural maintenance activities at the smelter to ensure compliance with objectives such as safety, reliability, and quality—thereby contributing to operational continuity of equipment across all areas. **Main Responsibilities:** * Execute weekly preventive mechanical and/or structural maintenance plans; perform corrective maintenance; * Report executed activities in SAP; * Participate in failure analyses and maintenance guideline reviews. **Position Requirements:** **Education:** * Secondary-level Technical Degree * AWS 4G Welder Certification * Manlift and Liner Operator Certifications (desirable) **Experience:** * Minimum 2 years of experience in refractory or related mechanical work. **Knowledge:** * Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics * Basic welding knowledge (cutting, sizing, layout, fabrication); distinction between smelter maintenance technicians and MAGA maintenance technicians * Basic Office software skills; SAP user-level proficiency **Other Requirements:** * **Shift:** 4-day / 4-night rotating shift. * **Contract Type:** Fixed-term contract. * **Location:** La Negra, Antofagasta Region.
