Do you want to learn how to design and optimize structures capable of handling advanced data types and massive workloads? This is your opportunity to join the Database Department, actively participating in the modernization of our systems, query migration and optimization under standards such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server, and documentation organization of real-world technology projects. What Will Be Your Mission? Provide technical support in the design, debugging, and documentation of the cooperative's data architectures. You will participate in the migration of complex queries, initial index optimization, and technical inventory of system objects, ensuring information consistency and facilitating knowledge transfer within the IT team. What Will You Do During Your Internship? SQL Structuring and Optimization: Support the design and construction of relational and non-relational databases, participating in testing of complex queries to optimize database engine performance. Debugging and Performance Analysis: Collaborate in reviewing execution plans and normalizing tables to reduce response times under massive workloads. Migration and Technical Support: Assist in analyzing ETL flows and processes guided by a DBA mentor, participating in resolving initial incidents to ensure high data availability. Inventory and Cataloging of Objects: Perform inventory and debugging of existing roles and objects on operational platforms (e.g., Total Core) to maintain a fully sanitized technical inventory of the cooperative. Technical Process Documentation: Collaborate in creating Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD), operational manuals, and technical instructions to ensure the department’s knowledge repository remains up to date. **Education Requirements:** Final-year student eligible to undertake professional internship. We especially welcome students from the following programs: Civil Informatics Engineering / Informatics Execution Engineering / Programmer Analyst / Technician in Connectivity and Networks, or related fields with a strong focus on software development, logic, and databases. No prior work experience is required, but you must have: Solid academic knowledge of SQL (preferable if you have had exposure or completed projects involving PostgreSQL or SQL Server). Interest in learning about ACID compliance, advanced indexing, and NoSQL models (MongoDB, DynamoDB). Logical-structured thinking, attention to detail, and ability to solve technical problems. Competencies That Will Make You Stand Out High rigor, order, and precision in handling and reading code/scripts. Proactivity, technical curiosity, and ease in navigating internal system documentation. Effective listening and clear communication skills to report progress and findings to the Data Operations Lead. **What We Offer:** 3-month internship, equivalent to 480 hours. On-site work at our offices near Metro Los Leones. Monday–Thursday: 08:45–17:45 hrs; Friday: until 16:30 hrs (40 hrs/week); schedule adjustments possible if required.
