We are globally recognized as the benchmark for quality and integrity, with an international presence and an extensive network of offices and laboratories worldwide. **Job Description** ------------------------- At SGS, we are seeking a Microbiology Intern interested in developing within a laboratory environment, supporting activities related to microbiology, molecular biology, and method validation and verification. The internship will be conducted on-site, **full-time from Monday to Friday**, at our facilities located in **Pudahuel**. **Main Responsibilities** ------------------------- * Support the validation and verification of methods associated with molecular biology techniques. * Perform activities related to method verification or validation processes. * Assist in conducting tests and other laboratory-specific activities. * Perform food matrix inoculation according to established procedures. * Support culture collection management. * Conduct genetic material extraction. * Maintain clear records and traceability of performed activities. * Comply with internal procedures, safety regulations, and good laboratory practices. * Maintain order, cleanliness, and proper arrangement of work materials. **Requirements** -------------- * Currently enrolled in a program related to Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biotechnology Engineering, Laboratory Technician, Food Technician, or a related field. * Must have **valid school insurance**. * Availability to conduct the internship on-site in Pudahuel. * Availability for full-time hours during the specified schedule. **Desired Knowledge** --------------------------- * General microbiology. * Molecular biology. * Food microbiology. * Good laboratory practices. * Basic handling of laboratory materials. * Data recording and procedure tracking. * Food safety. **Additional Information** ------------------------- We offer: * Internship allowance of CLP 150\.000 * Meal allowance. * Commuter buses. * Hands-on laboratory learning. * Experience with a world-leading company in inspection, testing, and certification.
