Through internal selection processes, we seek to identify top candidates for promotion to other positions, aligning company requirements with employee motivations.*** At ARAUCO, we are looking for professionals to fill the position of **Process Engineer**, to join our team at the **Valdivia Pulp Mill**, contributing to the stability, optimization, and continuous improvement of production processes, located in San Jose de la Mariquina. The main challenge of this role will be to support production stabilization through analysis of operational data, identification of improvement opportunities, and implementation of actions aimed at increasing efficiency, pulp quality, and operational reliability—all under high safety and environmental compliance standards. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Analyze production process performance through indicator tracking, mass and energy balances, and specific consumption metrics. * Identify deviations, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities using process analysis and control tools. * Propose and implement improvements that enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and process stability. * Monitor and optimize the use of raw materials and process chemicals to maximize yield and efficiency. * Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental departments to ensure operational continuity. * Participate in and lead engineering initiatives, technological modernization, and process improvement projects. * Prepare technical reports and analyses to support decision-making. ### **Requirements** * Professional degree in **Chemical Engineering**. * **2 to 5 years of experience** in industrial processes. * Experience in pulp mills or continuous-process industries is desirable. * Knowledge of mass and energy balances, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies. * Intermediate level of English and Excel If you are motivated to contribute to world-class industrial process development and join a company committed to sustainability, we invite you to apply and become part of ARAUCO! ***At ARAUCO, we work daily to develop renewable forest products that improve people’s lives—a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
