Job Summary: The Production Planning Specialist will develop and manage production plans and projects for the Mine area, ensuring alignment with maintenance and the production system. Identify improvement opportunities and optimize planning processes. **Location:** Pica, Tarapacá, Chile **Employment Type:** Regular full-time **Work Location:** On\-site About **Quebrada Blanca** Quebrada Blanca (QB) is located in the Tarapacá Region in northern Chile, at an altitude of 4\.400 meters, approximately 240 kilometers southeast of the city of Iquique and 1\.500 kilometers from Santiago. Teck holds an indirect 60% interest in the mine. Reporting to the Senior Production Planning Specialist, the **Production Planning Specialist** will be responsible for developing and managing production plans and projects for the Mine area, ensuring alignment with maintenance and the production system, guaranteeing proper development, execution, and delivery of operational plans, promoting continuous improvement and process optimization. This position will be based at the Quebrada Blanca site, located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level, operating on a 7x7 day shift system. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and champion safety and environmental rules and procedures. * Develop daily production plans, ensuring alignment of plans with cross-functional production system requirements. * Ensure proper development, execution, and control of daily production plans. * Ensure delivery of daily production plans associated with the cross-functional production process. * Identify improvement opportunities in planning procedures, promoting elimination of silos and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and process optimization. * Prepare progress, risk, and opportunity reports, issuing alerts for deviations and formulating recommendations for improvements. * Identify risks in production planning, ensuring compliance with critical Health, Safety, Environment, and Community (HSEC) controls. **Requirements** -------------- * Graduate in Mining Civil Engineering and/or Construction Engineering, Industrial Civil Engineering with a mining, metallurgical, or geological focus, or related field. * Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in mining planning or operations. * Experience in developing short-term production plans (desirable). * Knowledge of production sequencing design and mine development. * Knowledge of Production Planning software. * Class B driver’s license (mandatory). * Availability to work at the Quebrada Blanca site on a 7x7 shift system. **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
