Job Summary: Senior TMF Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for integrating and coordinating the planning and execution of activities at the tailings storage facility, ensuring operational continuity and milestone achievement. Manage project integration and resource availability. **Location:** Pica, Tarapacá, Chile **Employment Type:** Regular full-time **Work Location:** On\-site About **Quebrada Blanca** Quebrada Blanca (QB) is located in the Tarapacá Region in northern Chile, at an altitude of 4\.400 meters, approximately 240 kilometers southeast of the city of Iquique and 1\.500 kilometers from Santiago. Teck holds an indirect 60% interest in the mine. Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Corporation jointly hold an indirect 30% interest. **Position Description** ------------------------- **Closing Date: May 15, 2026** Reporting to the TMF Operations Superintendent, the **Senior TMF Infrastructure Engineer** will be responsible for ensuring effective integration of planning across all disciplines involved in the tailings storage facility (operations, construction, geotechnical, engineering, maintenance, and contracts), guaranteeing coordinated, safe, and master-plan-aligned execution of activities while safeguarding operational continuity and business milestone delivery. This position will be performed at our Quebrada Blanca site on a 4x3 day shift schedule. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, promoting safe work by adhering to safety and environmental rules and procedures. * Integrate and consolidate short-, medium-, and long-term TMF planning, ensuring consistency among operations, construction, and maintenance. * Coordinate with various departments (operations, geotechnical, engineering, environment, contracts, maintenance) to align activities and priorities. * Identify and manage interferences among construction activities, hydraulic deposition, operational projects, and water resource management, ensuring timely resolution. * Ensure infrastructure works (e.g., embankment growth and hydraulic infrastructure) are executed in coordination with operations. * Coordinate operational windows for work execution without disrupting tailings system continuity. * Monitor physical progress against plans, identify deviations, and manage corrective action plans. * Ensure incorporation of geotechnical, hydraulic, and operational constraints into planning. * Coordinate availability of required resources (equipment, materials, contracts) for plan execution. * Generate and consolidate integrated planning reports (plan vs. actual, milestones, deviations). * Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination forums (e.g., weekly meetings and integrated planning sessions). * Provide reliable and timely information to support operational and strategic decision-making. **Requirements** -------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 8 years of experience in tailings storage facility operations and management. * Minimum 8 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and control of projects or operations. * Knowledge of tailings storage facility planning, project control, and mining operations. * Project management certification (e.g., PMI or equivalent) is desirable. * Proficiency in project planning and control tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Last Planner, Lookahead). * Interface and operational risk management experience. * Foundational knowledge of geotechnical and hydraulic principles applied to tailings. * Advanced Excel skills and analytical tools (Power BI is desirable). * Intermediate\-advanced English proficiency is desirable. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Willingness to work at the Quebrada Blanca site located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level on a 4x3 day shift schedule. **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
