Job Responsibilities Establish the operating budget aligned with production plans. Lead cost efficiency across all processes under your responsibility. Define tender requirements in coordination with KSL Procurement Management. Define operational planning models to be followed by areas under your supervision. Establish input management and procurement policies. Define outsourcing requirements for operational functions. Define control systems to be implemented. Maintain ongoing relationships with academic institutions, industry associations, and other companies—both within the Kinross group and externally—to stay informed about industry best practices and trends in operations. Ensure ongoing technical review of processes to continuously incorporate best practices and improve efficiency. Define project requirements related to continuous improvement or efficient plant operation, and coordinate all necessary stakeholders, managing implementation of those projects selected. Ensure personnel safety in processes under your responsibility. Lead your teams in achieving company objectives, facilitating employee development in a positive work environment and promoting Kinross values. Education and Experience Chemical, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Civil Engineer. Master’s degree in Operations Management. Minimum 10 years of verifiable experience in managing productive operations in the mining industry. Knowledge of mineral processing equipment operation and maintenance. Process engineering and geology. Risk prevention and environmental impact. Fundamentals of operations planning and control. Management control, costs, and budgeting.
