Finning, Caterpillar’s strategic partner and a leader in equipment distribution and services, is seeking top talent to fill the role of **Planning Engineer for the Los Colorados contract**, who will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly maintenance and repair plans for the contract’s mining equipment to meet targets set by the Planning Manager and contribute to fulfilling contractual commitments with the client—primarily fleet availability and reliability—within budget and mine plan constraints. **Main Job Responsibilities:** * Know and apply, according to their role, safety and environmental policies. * Long-term planning (annual, in months), medium-term planning (quarterly, in weeks), short-term planning (monthly, in days). * Scheduled repairs. * PCR Plan (long-, medium-, and short-term). **Application Requirements:** * Knowledge of planning and scheduling strategy. * Knowledge of equipment maintenance and its applications. * Ability to interpret Gantt charts. * Completed AMT course for planning and scheduling. * Proficiency in computer tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Cat Inspect, and SIS. * Understanding of maintenance and repair models (planning and scheduling processes, continuous improvement, backlog management). * Proficiency in management software (AMT, SAP). * Advanced-level Microsoft Office software skills. * Knowledge of particulate contamination limits for fluids and components. * Knowledge of corporate contaminant control programs. * Familiarity with CAT best practices (contaminant control). * Understanding of backlog administration objectives and processes. * Knowledge of asset management and maintenance strategies. * Intermediate-level technical English (spoken and written).
