Finning, Caterpillar’s strategic partner and leader in equipment distribution and services, is seeking top talent to fill the role of **Quality Inspector for La Negra Service Center (CSAR)**, who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards defined by DS, the customer, and/or technical and quality specifications. This will be achieved through visual and structural inspections of equipment and/or components, documentation review, identification and reporting of process deviations, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards, and participating in identifying opportunities for improvement in the production process to reduce defect rates and enhance product quality. **Key Responsibilities:** * Verify critical quality characteristics of Caterpillar equipment and component assembly and remanufacturing processes, both for internal Assembly and Remanufacturing Center operations and for outsourced third-party processes (conducted at either company-owned or third-party facilities) (25%). * Report identified deviations during milestone verification activities for immediate correction (10%). * Prepare and deliver documentary support (e.g., quality milestone documentation, assembly protocols, and customer folders) (25%). * Record deviations for treatment as nonconformities (NC) in the available IT system, ensuring data accuracy and participating in NC resolution activities (10%). * Audit processes within the scope of the Quality, Environment, and Safety Management System (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and 45001:2018\) (5%). * Verify proper recording of assembly protocols and internal documentation through periodic audits and record deviations in the QMS for investigation and resolution (5%). * Ensure all guidelines, protocols, milestones, and documentation are correctly updated per the latest available version (SIS procedures, local improvements, technical bulletins, and Service Letters) (10%). * Participate in operational safety (field verifications focused on proactively identifying conditions that could affect personnel and equipment safety, critical risks, and operational walkthroughs) (10%). **Application Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Civil Engineering or related field. * Diplomas and postgraduate degrees considered but not mandatory. * Minimum 5 years of specific experience in the field (preferred). * Specific experience in Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2015\. * Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency. * Advanced Power BI proficiency. * Advanced English proficiency (ability to read, understand technical information, and communicate in English). Certification in ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and 45001:2018\. * Knowledge of Caterpillar procedures and literature. * Advanced SIS proficiency (searching, understanding, and applying technical information, assembly procedures, Service Letters, special instructions, SimSI, TMI, product status, and part identification). * Awareness of significant environmental aspects associated with one’s activities and how they are controlled. * Understanding of fundamental mechanical principles involved in production processes carried out at Service Centers. * Knowledge of testing, adjustments, and fault diagnosis for hydraulic, electrical, steering, braking, lifting, powertrain, and engine systems. * Familiarity with torque tools, metrology, welding, and specifications (interpretation of drawings and tolerances). * Knowledge of assembly and repair equipment and/or components serviced at Service Centers.
