That is why we work—and that is what we do! **Purpose of the Position:** Coordinate and verify operational activities to contribute to achieving the objectives of the Gas Handling (MAGA) area under Plant Management, making appropriate use of available resources and minimizing safety, health, environmental, and community incident risks in accordance with Glencore’s policies and standards. Monitor the MAGA process across various teams to support the development of standardized operational routine procedures and conduct necessary follow-ups as stipulated by the established reliability workflow. **Key Responsibilities:** * Review daily checklists and operational updates; * Conduct daily monitoring of operational parameters. * Perform safety management, including analysis and control of area-specific risks. * Coordinate the development and improvement of a standardized gas handling process across operational areas. * Manage safety and environmental incidents. * Establish and review work standards, and define risk controls associated with operating outside design parameter ranges. **Position Requirements** **Education:** Completed professional degree program of five years or more. Industrial Civil Engineering. **Experience:** Eight years of work experience; minimum three to six years in related roles. **Knowledge:** * Equipment reliability management. * Process indicator management. * SO2-to-SO3 gas conversion processes for sulfuric acid production. * Operational knowledge of equipment used in sulfuric acid production. * Proficiency in SAP tools for various administrative tasks. * Advanced Excel skills. * Experience managing performance indicators for operational control. * Experience interpreting design and process operational parameters in sulfuric acid and smelting plants. * Experience working with equipment and process reliability indicators in sulfuric acid and smelting plants. **Other Requirements:** * **Shift:** 4x3 * **Contract Type:** Indefinite-term contract * **Location:** La Negra, Antofagasta At **Altonorte**, we believe in inclusive and diverse workplaces where individual differences are respected, valued, and accommodated.
