Maintenance of the Management System under NCh-ISO 17025 standard **Professional Level 13** **Center for Studies in Food Science and Technology (CECTA)** The Department of Human Capital Development invites applications for an external selection process to fill the position of Laboratory Coordinator, Professional Level 13, on a contractual basis, to be based at the Center for Studies in Food Science and Technology (CECTA), working full-time. This selection process includes an initial probationary period of three months. At the end of the second month, the selected candidate will undergo an evaluation conducted by the Head of the Cost Center. Based on the evaluation results, a decision will be made regarding the extension or non-extension of the appointment until December 31, 2026, subject thereafter to the regulations governing contractual staff appointments under the Administrative Statute (Article 10 and other applicable provisions). It is hereby noted that if no notification of extension is issued pursuant to this competition, the appointment shall automatically terminate upon expiration of its term. **Position Requirements per University Decree No. 1444/96:** A professional degree or academic degree awarded by a university or professional institute recognized by the State, or an academic degree awarded by a university recognized by the State. **Position Profile Requirements:** A professional degree awarded by a university recognized by the State, relevant to the field of work. A Doctorate or Master’s degree in Chemical Sciences or related disciplines is desirable. **Desirable Training Includes:** * Quality Management Systems based on International Standards or Interpretation of the current ISO 17025 Standard * Occupational Risk Prevention * Good Laboratory Practices **Specific Knowledge** * Routine analytical techniques used in a Physicochemical Analysis Laboratory for the food sector. * Knowledge of conventional Gas Chromatography and Liquid Chromatography, as well as physicochemical chromatography for the food sector. * Proficiency in software associated with chromatographic equipment. **Experience** Academic training or demonstrable experience in conventional Gas Chromatography and Liquid Chromatography, as well as mass spectrometry-coupled chromatography.
