Position Summary: Internship focused on strengthening the connection between patient support initiatives and real-world patient needs, assuming ownership of projects and continuously improving the patient experience. Key Highlights: 1. Reinforce the role's purpose and its expected impact on patients. 2. Assume end-to-end ownership of initiatives with informed decision-making. 3. Elevate analytical capabilities and apply iterative improvements to the patient journey. **OBJECTIVE** Please note that the primary objective of an internship is for interns to undertake practical experiences that complement their academic training and enrich their educational program by incorporating real-world professional skills and attitudes. * Reinforce the role's purpose: align patient support initiatives and services with actual patient needs, explicitly defining the expected impact (on patients, HCPs, operations) and success criteria. * Assume end-to-end ownership of specific initiatives, making informed decisions, anticipating risks (including compliance), and escalating only when necessary and in a timely manner. * Manage work with self-direction: plan and prioritize the backlog, define biweekly/monthly milestones, provide visibility into progress (status, risks, next steps), and maintain execution discipline. * Elevate analytical capabilities: measure and analyze results (KPIs), translate learnings into insights and recommendations, and implement iterative improvements to the patient journey and patient experience. * Leave behind installed capability upon extension closure: document processes and learnings, standardize tools/templates, and conduct an orderly handover to ensure continuity and scalability. **TASKS TO BE PERFORMED BY THE INTERN:** List the tasks to be performed, focusing on those most closely related to the intern’s field of study and providing as much detail as possible. **Month 1: Diagnosis & Alignment:** Assess the current state of patient (and HCP) support channels, content, and services by therapeutic area; map stakeholders, workflows, and pain points. **Month 2: Proposal Design & Planning:** Design an initiative/campaign to optimize communication regarding program scope (for patients and HCPs), focusing on purpose, key messages, and reduction of friction/misconceptions. **Month 3: Pilot / Implementation:** Implement a pilot (workshop/activity/service adjustment) addressing an unmet need of a patient group, incorporating methodology, KPIs, and a tracking mechanism. **Month 4: Processes, Quality & Suppliers:** Address inspection readiness and continuous improvement: review a critical process, agree on KPIs/SLAs, identify gaps, and execute an action plan. **Month 5: Fieldwork & Insights (Self-Direction + Influence):** Coordinate and conduct field visits with a subject-matter expert (e.g., patient navigator/healthcare services) to a reference center; capture findings and opportunities for improvement for patients and HCPs. **Month 6: Closure, Scaling & Handover (Full Self-Direction):** Prepare an executive closure report for the extension: results vs. KPIs, learnings, opportunities, and recommendations for next steps. **Education and Experience** Education * Advanced student in health-related disciplines (Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Kinesiology, Medicine). Not exclusive.* **Desired Technical and Behavioral Skills:** English proficiency Technical Skills * Information Technology * Excel and Microsoft tools management.
