This role guarantees that construction processes are executed according to quality standards and contributes to continuous improvement, reduction of rework, customer satisfaction, and operational safety. **Purpose of the Role** ---------------------- Systematically ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with quality standards, technical criteria, and contractual specifications. The role must plan and supervise Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), manage nonconformities, ensure documentary traceability, and maintain an updated and audited QMS aligned with Ferrovial Construction and the Quality and Environment Department. **Main Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Verify compliance with the QMS and internal procedures. * Manage, update, and coordinate **Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)**. * Administer nonconformities, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure effective closure. * Supervise the field quality team. * Represent the Quality Department before the client and external bodies. * Monitor quality KPIs and report on them. * Maintain up-to-date technical documentation available for audits. * Integrate Environmental and Safety aspects into quality controls. **General Functions** ----------------------- * Plan and coordinate quality control activities on site. * Verify correct interpretation of drawings, specifications, and standards. * Conduct periodic field inspections. * Control material receipt and associated documentation. * Support planning from a quality perspective. * Participate in internal technical training. * Facilitate communication with Production, Technical Office, Prevention, and Environment. **Specific Functions of the Department (Quality and Environment)** ------------------------------------------------------------- * Implement requirements of the **Integrated Management System (IMS)**. * Verify environmental compliance related to processes controlled by quality. * Integrate environmental aspect assessments into technical controls. * Support internal and external audits. * Participate in reporting to the client and external bodies. * Manage operational risks linked to quality. **Specific Functions of the Role** ----------------------------------- * Lead the field quality team. * Review and approve inspection and test records. * Manage the operational quality relationship with the client (e.g., Metro). * Ensure traceability of critical materials and processes. * Perform technical analysis of complex nonconformities and determine solutions. * Verify implementation of corrective actions. * Prepare executive quality reports. **Mandatory Requirements** -------------------------- ### **Academic Qualifications** * Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related degrees. * Alternatively, a Construction Technician with solid experience. * Desirable: Training in quality management, IMS, or transportation infrastructure. ### **Computer Skills** * Intermediate–advanced Excel. * Word and PowerPoint. * Proficiency in corporate and client document management platforms. * Desirable: MS Project and nonconformance management systems. ### **Certifications** * Knowledge of **ISO 9001:2015** (internal auditor or lead auditor preferred). * Desirable certification in **ISO 14001** and **ISO 45001**. * Courses in quality control, concrete, tunnels, or similar infrastructure. ### **Technical Competencies** * Proficiency in Chilean regulations (NCh, OGUC) and international standards. * Practical knowledge of civil works quality control and ITPs. * Ability to interpret complex technical documentation. * Familiarity with root cause analysis tools. * Understanding of risk management, continuous improvement, and the PDCA cycle. ### **Experience** * Minimum 5 years in construction, preferably major infrastructure. * At least 3 years leading quality on site. * Experience with QMS based on ISO 9001 and IMS. * Desirable experience with public clients (e.g., Santiago Metro). **Seize the challenge.
