To contribute to the stability and optimization of production processes, aligned with the company’s safety, quality, and efficiency objectives. **What will you do?** **During PGP Planning and Execution** * Plan PLC system maintenance activities. * Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans in SAP. * Create and keep technical locations, bill of materials (BOM), and inspection routes up to date. * Prepare technical specifications, work instructions, and guidelines. * Identify system vulnerabilities and propose improvement projects. * Participate in tenders and technical reviews. * Review external contractors’ work plans and ensure their proper execution. * Manage notifications, work orders, and purchase requests in SAP. * Coordinate internal risk mitigation projects. * Participate in root cause analysis (RCA). **During Plant Operations** * Ensure stable PLC system operation by reviewing diagnostics and taking corrective actions. * Monitor controllers, servers, and operator stations. * Analyze alarms, trends, and process variability. * Support NATs in loop tuning and troubleshooting. * Develop new logic, loops, and operator screens. * Keep programming standards up to date. * Conduct periodic field inspections and manage findings. * Perform database backups. * Propose and execute automation projects. * Participate in alarm management and root cause analysis. **What do you need to apply?** * Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering. * Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Master’s in Management and/or Asset Reliability (desirable). * Knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS) such as ABB 800xA and/or DeltaV (desirable). * Intermediate spoken and written English. * Familiarity with administrative information systems (e.g., SAP). * Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. * **Specialized Requirements:** + Experience in operation and maintenance of Siemens and Rockwell PLC systems; knowledge of OT networks. + Knowledge of Windows operating system. + Experience in loop programming and advanced control strategies. + Knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control networks. ***At ARAUCO, we work daily to develop renewable forest products that improve people’s lives — a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
