




Position Summary: We are seeking a Protection Engineer to design, test, and provide support for electrical protection schemes, with experience in relays and substation systems. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and implementation of tests for protection schemes 2. Configuration and testing of protection relays in substations 3. Technical support for SIPROTEC products SI Chile is looking for a Protection Engineer to join its team! **What will be your challenges?** * Knowledge of basic DC and AC diagrams. * Preparation of factory acceptance test (FAT) procedures for various projects. * Designing and defining requirements for factory acceptance tests with customers. * Preparing Omicron test sets (Test Universe). * Configuring and testing relays for protection schemes in high-, medium-, and low-voltage substation systems. * Design, development, implementation of tests, and commissioning for applications in protection schemes. * Providing technical support to the organization for bids and proposals. * Providing technical support to customers for SIPROTEC product range. * Site visits depending on the project. * Estimated travel requirement approximately 70%. **What do we expect from you?** * Electrical or Civil Electrical Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in the field of electrical protection, including knowledge of: * Busbar Differential Protection * Transformer Protection * Breaker Failure Protection * Capacitor Bank Protection * Line Protections * Overcurrent Protections * Practical knowledge of protection relays for power transmission; ability to interpret design drawings and approve/supervise third-party designs. * Knowledge of Siemens-associated software DIGSI 4 and DIGSI 5. * Experience in commissioning and/or startup of protection equipment.
