Jeimp Publishing Group S.A., a contemporary publishing house dedicated to debut Latin‑American authors and literary events, seeks a **Mining Engineer** to lead and support its new line of technical publications, educational resources, and industry‑focused content for the mining sector. **Key Responsibilities** * Conduct research, feasibility studies, and technical analyses on mining operations, sustainability practices, and emerging technologies to serve as subject‑matter expertise for upcoming titles. * Author, co‑author, or edit manuscripts, white papers, and case‑study compilations covering topics such as ore‑body modeling, mine safety, ventilation, waste management, and digital transformation in mining. * Review technical accuracy of author submissions, ensuring alignment with current Chilean mining regulations, international standards (ISO 14001, IEC 61508\), and best practices. * Collaborate with graphic designers, editors, and marketing teams to develop clear, engaging layouts for print, e‑book, and audiobook formats. * Coordinate interviews and content contributions from mining professionals, academic researchers, and industry associations. * Participate in literary festivals and industry conferences, representing Jeimp Publishing and promoting technical titles to mining companies, universities, and professional societies. * Provide guidance on rights acquisition, royalty calculations, and licensing for technical content. * Stay up‑to‑date with mining trends, legislation, and technological advancements in Chile and Latin America to identify new publishing opportunities. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). * Minimum 3 – 5 years of professional experience in mining operations, consultancy, or research, preferably within Chile’s metal‑mining sector. * Strong understanding of mine planning, geology, ventilation, rock mechanics, environmental management, and safety standards. * Proven writing, editing, or technical communication skills; previous experience producing reports, technical papers, or educational material is highly desirable. * Familiarity with publishing workflows, digital‑content formats (e‑book, audiobook), and copyright/licensing considerations. * Excellent verbal and written communication in Spanish; proficiency in English is a plus. * Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for a broad readership. * Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and cross‑functionally. **Compensation** * Hourly rate: **CLP 2,300 – CLP 9,450**, based on experience and expertise. **How** **to** **Apply** Send your résumé, a brief cover letter outlining relevant mining experience and any writing or editorial samples, to **editor@jeimp.com**.
