Apply sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott, including upselling. Determine and provide guest gifts as appreciation for being our customers (e.g., reward points, show tickets, gift certificates). Promote brand image awareness both internally and externally. Process requests to cancel Marriott Rewards program points. Process all room reservations, requests, modifications, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email. Enter Marriott Rewards program information into the appropriate software when taking guest reservations. Answer, log, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns. Perform general office tasks to support Sales and Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, transcribing information, sending faxes). Assist management with employee training and motivation; serve as a role model. Comply with all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate their service needs and fulfill them with genuine appreciation. Communicate with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; listen and respond appropriately to other employees’ concerns. Monitor others’ performance to ensure compliance with expectations and quality standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
