SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES  Ensure correct execution of assigned analytical methods or determinations, including performing verification calculations, safeguarding results and materials under one’s responsibility, and timely recording of data.  Procure, secure, or prepare necessary materials, equipment, and/or accessories required for laboratory analyses, handling chemical reagents and controlling their quality prior to use.  Report non-conformities and/or take action to resolve contingencies affecting one’s own activities or those of the assigned work team.  Perform and/or provide technical support to the work team in verifying or preparing laboratory equipment, including confirming standards, assembly, and disassembly.  Conduct tests with quality, safety, and environmental care, meeting workload requirements within established timeframes.  Ensure and comply with all activities related to sample handling, preparation of reagents and standards, as well as result integrity per current procedures.  Detect and report any deviations occurring during test execution and/or equipment usage, considering all aspects of quality, safety, and environmental protection.  Participate in problem resolution—from contributing to fact investigation to suggesting solutions and preventing recurrence of failures.  Verify and ensure equipment condition and operability; perform adjustments and verifications to guarantee result quality. Ensure maintenance, calibration, and verification activities, preserving each equipment’s records.  Safeguard and maintain analytical and operational instructions, records, and files in good condition and readily accessible.  Protect the integrity of assigned test items, ensuring traceability and clear, orderly, and complete documentation of activities in designated documents.  Ensure compliance with all established hygiene and safety measures, and properly use assigned PPE and work clothing, prioritizing self-care and peer safety while identifying and reporting risks and hazards.  Validate and/or report analysis results upon request from supervisor or direct manager.  Assist in onboarding and training new laboratory personnel as assigned.  Perform light vehicle driving duties.  Conduct analyses using atomic spectroscopy equipment.  Report chemical analyses generated at plant into database with response time no longer than 24 hours and deviation from theoretical value not exceeding 5%.  Maintain order and cleanliness in assigned areas. **Requirements** PROFILE  Formal Education: Technical qualification at secondary or tertiary level in Chemistry, Laboratory Analyst, Chemical Analyst, or related fields.  Experience Similar field/sector: 3 years in service laboratories.
