Opportunity to share innovative ideas to improve efficiency **Job Description** --------------------------- Transport and distribute goods, supplies, and/or finished products from assigned casinos to facilities requiring such services to ensure fulfillment of deadlines agreed upon with customers and ARAMARK’s quality standards. Drivers are required to operate in an efficient, consistent, safe, and timely manner. **Job Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Complete a daily vehicle inspection form before driving and after completing your route. * Ensure a pleasant and clean environment is always maintained inside and outside the vehicle. Use all available safety equipment and always wear your seatbelt while driving. * Operate the company vehicle to transport passengers or supplies and equipment to and from designated locations. * Drivers must drive defensively, safely, and cautiously in all situations. * Exceptional customer service skills are required when interacting with customers to consistently project a positive image. * Refuel, clean, and inspect the vehicle as needed. * Identify maintenance and safety issues and take appropriate corrective actions; immediately report any malfunctions. * Maintenance and safety inspections may be required for service trucks, vans, trailers, and other vehicles and equipment. * This includes checking and changing oil and tires, lights, and the vehicle’s overall condition. * Take the vehicle to the car wash as needed. May be required to assist with office work, answer phones, serve as dispatcher, and perform other office tasks. * Attend all scheduled departmental and safety meetings. * Share innovative ideas to improve efficiency and operations. * Know and follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, energy, and traffic regulations. To meet our objectives, job duties may change or new ones may be added without formal notification. **Qualifications** ------------------- * Must be 21 years of age or older. * One year or more of professional driving experience and vehicle mechanics experience, as well as customer service experience (preferred). * Must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English. * Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B or C) with a clean driving record demonstrating five years of prior safe driving. * Must pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card. * Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and participate in the random drug/alcohol testing program. * Must complete and pass a defensive driving course prior to operating a company vehicle. * Drivers may be required to hold passenger certification or air brake certification to operate all vehicles. * Experience driving in all weather conditions, including winter weather and installing tire chains. * Equipment used: Company vehicle, walkie\-talkie, hand truck, computer, copier, printer, telephone, * Travel requirements: Little or no travel required (less than 10%). This position may involve physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or walking and standing for extended periods.
