Location Arauco MAPA Plant (Line 3\), Biobío Region, Chile Employment Type Full-time Preferred Residence Concepción, San Pedro de la Paz, or nearby areas **Your Responsibilities** * Act as Valmet’s on-site technical representative under the Arauco L3 contract and serve as the primary coordination point between the customer and Valmet support teams. * Lead planning and tracking of activities related to Valmet DNA, Advanced Process Controls, and Mill\-Wide Optimization. * Implement and monitor agreed action plans to improve operational stability and plant process performance. * Analyze root causes related to process control, automation, and operational performance, identifying opportunities to optimize advanced control strategies. * Coordinate loop tuning, automation application enhancements, system configuration, upgrades, testing, commissioning, remote specialist support, training, reporting, and technical follow-up meetings with the customer. **What We Expect From You** * Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. * Experience with automation systems in the pulp and paper industry, including DCS programming and configuration—ideally with Valmet DNA. * Knowledge or experience in Advanced Process Controls (APC) and process optimization; experience in Mill\-Wide Optimization is highly valued. * Intermediate or higher level of English, both spoken and written; Portuguese knowledge is considered an advantage. * Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
