Ancud (1 vacancy)** **Engineers (excluding electrotechnologists)** ================================================================================================ ### **CONTACT INFORMATION** **Company:** Instituto de Fomento Pesquero (IFOP) **Economic activity:** Research and experimental development in the field of natural sciences and engineering ### **DESCRIPTION** Job Mission: Plan, coordinate, and execute the sampling program in the assigned region(s), in coordination with direct management and with technical support from corresponding project managers, supporting and supervising activities of Field Coordinators, Scientific Observers, and technical-administrative staff associated with the geographic area, to ensure quality, volume, and timeliness of biological-fisheries data required by ongoing projects. Technical Requirements for the Position: \- University degree (graduate) in Marine Sciences, Industrial Civil Engineering, Administration or related fields; at least 5 years of experience performing similar duties in a managerial capacity (Field Coordinator). \- Valid Class B driver's license. Required Technical Knowledge: Mandatory: \- Statistical data collection procedures and methodologies. \- Research methodology knowledge. \- Knowledge of Fisheries and Labor Legislation. \- Descriptive Statistics and Sampling Techniques. \- Knowledge of Fishing Gear and Methods. \- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency. \- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems. Required Experience and Skills: Mandatory: \- Experience managing sampling processes and activities. \- Use of the Institutional Multiplatform System. \- Experience engaging with stakeholders in the region. \- Experience liaising with regional maritime authorities.
