Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Network Support Engineer to lead our technical infrastructure, define network reliability strategy, and collaborate on the critical availability of operations.
Key Highlights:
1. Direct impact on operational decisions from day one.
2. Access to continuous training and certification pathways.
3. Working with industry-standard hardware and software.
**About the Role:**
Antofagasta is Chile’s industrial engine, and at HAFS Networks Chile, we keep that engine connected. We build and maintain mission-critical networking and telecommunications infrastructure that enables seamless business operations across the region. We believe enterprise networks must be robust, secure, and highly reliable. We seek a Network Support Engineer to lead our technical infrastructure. You won’t just resolve tickets—you’ll define the network reliability strategy. You’ll collaborate with a talented engineering team, bridging the gap between complex network protocols and customer operations where availability is critical. You are the guardian of network stability in a world driven by constant connectivity.
**Why Join Us?**
* **The Environment:** Our operations are strategically located in Antofagasta, keeping us close to key regional customers. We value a workplace that fosters problem-solving: think collaborative fault resolution, high-end equipment, and ongoing technical support.
* **Engineering-First Mindset:** You won’t need to convince us that network infrastructure matters—we know it does. You’ll have direct impact on operational decisions from day one.
* **Modern Tech Stack:** We work with industry-standard hardware and software: Cisco, MikroTik, Fortinet, Wireshark, and Zabbix. We master protocols, VLANs, and route optimization.
* **Growth Opportunities:** You’ll have access to continuous training and certification pathways to keep your technical credentials up to date.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Infrastructure Management:** Maintain and optimize LAN, WAN, and VPN network environments. Ensure high availability across all managed enterprise endpoints.
* **Level 2/3 Support:** Lead root-cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues, hardware failures, and connection bottlenecks.
* **Hardware Deployment:** Configure and deploy network hardware—including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems—per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* **Monitoring & Analysis:** Don’t wait for outages to occur. Monitor traffic, analyze packet data, and optimize system performance before minor issues escalate into major downtime.
* **Technical Documentation:** Maintain accurate network topologies, asset records, and operational guides. Communicate clearly with technical teams and enterprise customers.
**What We’re Looking For:**
* **Experience:** 2+ years in Network Engineering, Network Administration, or IT Infrastructure Support roles.
* **Technical Proficiency:** Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, routing, switching, and enterprise firewalls.
* **Tools:** Experience with network diagnostic tools (Wireshark, PRTG, Zabbix) and standard hardware platforms (Cisco, Fortinet, MikroTik).
* **Certifications:** CCNA/CCNP or equivalent vendor certifications (or equivalent field experience) are highly valued.
* **Mindset:** You are systematic and reliable. You remain calm under pressure when diagnosing critical outages and take pride in delivering flawless network stability.
