




Wood is seeking a Process Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in chemical or petrochemical industry projects, to join our Renewables and Processes business line. The position will be based at Wood's office in Santiago and client offices at various locations across Chile. Coordinate with other disciplines to identify interferences and ensure design quality. Lead work teams, report progress, and maintain updated material lists. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges. * Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering * Proven experience in technical office roles * Availability and experience for fieldwork * Availability for 100% on-site work * Minimum contract duration of 1 year with possibility of extension * Process simulations such as HYSYS, PRO II, and other process simulators (oil & gas), or pipeline and gathering/distribution piping systems * Preparation and management of engineering documents * Interpretation and use of flow diagrams, process diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) * Basic Process calculations * Experience with equipment such as pipelines, pressure vessels, reactors, storage tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and turbines, etc. * Design and review of diagrams such as PFDs, P&IDs, Layouts, etc. * Analysis of Material and Energy Balances for Process Streams and Utilities * Calculation memos and Equipment and Instrument Data Sheets * Review of Technical Specifications and Requisitions * Analysis of Operation and Control philosophies for industrial processes. * Design and Operation of Fire Protection Systems in industrial facilities * Development and participation in Risk Analyses (HAZOP). * Knowledge of industry design standards.
