The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum mechanical and operational efficiency of water handling, compressed air, ventilation, and drive systems in underground operations—through detailed engineering, civil works construction, and budgeting. This role ensures stable mechanical infrastructure support for ventilation, drainage, and process air supply systems, guaranteeing mechanical supply availability for mining operations, optimizing asset lifecycle, and ensuring safe environmental conditions for production. **Key Responsibilities Will Include:** -------------------------------------------- * Develop biennial mine services mechanical and ventilation engineering at the infrastructure level, projecting assets, construction, sequencing, and budgets aligned with the mine plan. * Supervise and validate external mechanical maintenance and installation services—including instrumentation—providing technical oversight of works and proper resource allocation. * Serve as the technical reference in formulating, evaluating, and reviewing mechanical infrastructure projects, contributing engineering criteria related to instrumentation and telecommunications. * Manage implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance plans, supervising lockout/tagout and de-energization protocols executed by contractor companies. * Analyze and report management indicators (KPIs), including monthly maintenance plan progress, failure statistics, and status of electrical infrastructure. * Ensure regulatory and legal compliance of facilities and external personnel, verifying technical competencies and current regulatory certifications. * Integrate Management Systems (RMMS), Safety, Health, Environment, and Energy guidelines into all electrical discipline processes under their responsibility. * Promote a safety culture by auditing that safe work procedures and environmental protection measures are rigorously applied by contractor companies. * Model and monitor ethical conduct aligned with the Code of Conduct, Diversity & Inclusion, and Human Rights policies within their team and among suppliers. **What Requirements Must You Meet?** ---------------------------------- * Academic degree in Mechanical Civil Engineering or Mechanical Execution Engineering. * Master’s degree or diploma related to project management. * Minimum 4 years’ experience in underground mining related to mechanical maintenance in mine services. * Minimum 4 years’ experience in underground mine ventilation. * Experience in contract administration and people management. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, SAP, Pumpsim, and AutoCAD. * Desired proficiency in VentSim, Inventor, ETAP, and Deswik. * Class B driver’s license. * Availability to work rotating shifts (4x3). **All our job postings comply with Law 21,015, which promotes labor inclusion of persons with disabilities.** We are committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible workplace.
