(except zinc, lead, and manganese) ### **DESCRIPTION** Minera Meridian \- El Peñón, a mining company located in the Antofagasta Region engaged in underground gold and silver extraction, invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Refinery Operator within the Plant Operations area, reporting to Plant Management. The Refinery Operator will be responsible for executing operational activities associated with the refining process, including operation of filter presses, retort furnaces, and reverberatory furnaces, as well as supporting equipment such as forklifts. Additionally, the operator must support basic maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with the company’s established safety, quality, and environmental standards. Key responsibilities: Operate filter presses, retort furnaces, and reverberatory furnaces. Monitor operational process variables in refining. Operate supporting equipment, such as forklifts. Execute activities from filter presses through to doré metal shipment. Maintain area order and housekeeping. Report deviations or substandard conditions to immediate supervisor. Ensure proper use and care of area equipment and infrastructure. Support basic maintenance tasks. Propose improvements aimed at achieving operational targets. We offer an initial fixed-term contract of 3 months, followed by potential indefinite-term renewal subject to performance evaluation. This position operates on a 7x7 work schedule.
