Summary: The Operational Continuity Engineer will administer and govern the Industrial Application Server Platform, ensuring operational continuity and resolving complex IT infrastructure issues. Opportunity to manage and upgrade large IT infrastructures Position: Operational Continuity Engineer – Hosting Job Description: The Operational Continuity Engineer – Hosting will be responsible for the remote administration and governance of the Industrial Application Server Platform, which consists of the technological physical infrastructure responsible for processing the software that supports the client’s core business operations. Main responsibilities: * Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to resolve priority issues, implement complex and secure work systems, using existing work management processes in the client environment * Comply with the client’s Industrial Application Server Platform technology standards and processes * Perform root cause analysis for complex issues in order to reduce failure rates (MTBF) and equipment downtime * Implement and onboard processing equipment (physical servers and virtual machines) into inventory control * Register servers, storage systems, backup systems, and virtual machines in monitoring and remote access tools * Perform proactive monitoring of the platform * Support capacity management * Execute service activities: incident resolution, change requests, service requests, and problem investigations * Lead high\-priority incident investigations and provide post\-change review information and RCA insights * Support CMDB population and updates * Maintain documentation and diagrams up to date Candidate Profile: * IT professional with at least a Bachelor's degree * Minimum 5 years of experience in administration and operation of large IT infrastructures * Experience supporting incidents related to servers, virtualization, storage, and backup platforms * Experience managing incidents and meeting SLA/KPI targets * Proven experience managing virtualization platforms (VMware, vSphere, vCenter, vCloud, VMware View, vRealize, vSAN, NSX, Microsoft Hyper\-V) * Experience upgrading virtual platforms (vSphere upgrades, P2V/V2V migrations, server migrations) and PowerShell scripting * Troubleshooting ESXi via command line * Experience with VM backup (VEEAM, VMware Data Protection) * Server platforms: Cisco UCS, HP, Dell, IBM * Linux administration (RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.) * Patch and update management for servers * Script development for automation * Bulk patching experience * Storage administration in VMware and Linux environments * Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022\) configuration and troubleshooting * Windows event analysis * Windows patching via SCCM and WSUS * Active Directory (multi\-domain, multi\-forest) * File system troubleshooting * OS migrations * Windows services configuration (DHCP, DNS) * Windows security hardening * Storage platforms knowledge (EMC, NetApp, Pure, etc.) * Backup technologies (Commvault, Avamar, Data Domain) * Storage technologies (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fiber Channel) * Firmware upgrade tools (iDRAC, iLO, OneView) * English proficiency (desirable) * Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components * Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow) * Strong problem\-solving and communication skills * Relevant certifications desirable
