Gerente de Ingeniería de Producción **Rekol SpA** Santiago, Región Metropolitana, Chile Nueva Tajamar 481, Las Condes **Salary:** CLP 4,300,000 per month **Job Type:** Full\-time Job Summary Rekol SpA is seeking an experienced and strategic **Gerente de Ingeniería de Producción** to lead production engineering initiatives, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure efficient, reliable, and cost\-effective operations. The successful candidate will oversee engineering projects, process optimization, technical teams, and production performance while working closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in production engineering, and a proven track record of improving manufacturing efficiency and operational performance. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the production engineering function and technical team. * Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, capacity, quality, and reliability. * Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. * Lead engineering projects related to production lines, equipment, automation, and process upgrades. * Establish production engineering standards, procedures, and performance objectives. * Monitor production KPIs, including productivity, downtime, yield, quality, and operational costs. * Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and procurement teams. * Evaluate equipment, technologies, and production methods to improve operational performance. * Develop capital expenditure proposals and technical business cases for engineering projects. * Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, upgrades, and process modifications. * Support root\-cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues. * Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. * Ensure engineering activities comply with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements. * Manage engineering budgets, resources, schedules, and project priorities. * Develop technical documentation, reports, and performance dashboards for management. * Mentor engineers and technical personnel and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline. * Proven experience in production engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrial operations. * Previous leadership or management experience in a production environment. * Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, production systems, and process optimization. * Experience managing engineering projects and technical teams. * Strong understanding of production KPIs, cost control, quality, and operational efficiency. * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and decision\-making skills. * Excellent communication and leadership abilities. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering or production management software. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with industrial automation, robotics, or process control systems. * Knowledge of Industry 4\.0 technologies and smart manufacturing. * Experience with ERP, MES, or manufacturing management systems. * Project management certification is an advantage. * Six Sigma or Lean certification is preferred. * Experience managing capital investment and equipment modernization projects. * Strong knowledge of occupational safety and industrial compliance requirements.
