Process Metallurgist (Process Performance, Product Technical Support, Beneficiation, Dewatering and Hydrometallurgy Services BL) We are now looking for a Process Metallurgist to join our global Process Performance team in Beneficiations, Dewatering and Hydrometallurgy Services BL. In this role your task is to provide high technical expertise, on\-site support tasks and enable Market Area front line development for Flotation and Dewatering technology area. As a Process Metallurgist your main tasks and responsibilities are: Participation and operation of Metso’s dewatering and flotation laboratory and pilot scale test work in full plant environments. Assist in the determination of process guarantees with supervision. Assessing existing site installations and identifying customer needs, bottlenecks, optimization potential, causes of process issues and scoping required modifications and solutions. Preparation of internal and external reports that are ultimately provided to clients. Co\-authoring technical and conference papers and presentations. Assist Metallurgists, Project Managers, Sales and Technical Support with the management of projects and eventual sales of dewatering and flotation equipment. Assist engineers on overall designs and design changes to dewatering and flotation equipment. Participate in R\&D and trials for verification of new concepts. Compile and analyse metallurgical and process data. Assist in the scheduling and preparation of metallurgical test work for dewatering and flotation products in the BDH catalogue. Travel to multiple mine sites around North and South America with the potential for global travel. Involved in commissioning and optimization of full\-scaled dewatering and flotation equipment. Providing input to Technical Documentation. Assist in training of customer operators and metallurgists around Metso dewatering and flotation equipment. Ensure proper fulfilment of all QEHS rules and regulations. Acting as a link between with BL and Market areas. Gain valuable knowledge and experience on other mineral processing equipment and software within the Metso Portfolio. **To be successful in this role we hope that you will have:** Bachelor’s degree in minerals processing/chemical engineering/metallurgy or similar. 2\-5 years of previous working experience in a minerals related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Previous experience in dewatering and flotation process of mineral processing, specifically including laboratory and pilot scale dewatering and flotation test work. Ability to work well with others and independently. Metallurgical balancing and simulation software experience, for example HSC Chemistry or JKSimMet. Fluent in English and Spanish. Time management skills and a strong attention to detail. To be willing to travel for both short\- and long\-term assignments, often in remote areas. Expected travel up to 75% of working year. To be willing to meet our customers and other stakeholders around the globe. Unplanned extended hours and/or days may be required from time to time. Customer focus with service minded attitude. Good analytic and problem\-solving skills. Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health \& Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
