Professional growth and leadership development Company: Viraj Technologies SpA Location: Santiago, Chile (On\-site / Hybrid) Job Type: Full\-Time Job Overview Viraj Technologies SpA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ingeniero de Datos Senior (Senior Data Engineer) to design, build, and optimize our enterprise data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics infrastructure. In this role, you will lead data engineering initiatives, establish scalable data architectures, and collaborate with data science and business intelligence teams to support data\-driven decision\-making. Key Responsibilities * Architect, build, and maintain scalable, robust ETL/ELT pipelines from diverse data sources into centralized data warehouses or lakes. * Design and optimize data models, databases, and query performance to handle large\-scale structured and unstructured data. * Implement data governance, security protocols, and data quality frameworks to ensure compliance, integrity, and accuracy. * Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to deliver data infrastructure for analytics and reporting. * Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuous improve automated data pipelines and data processing workflows. * Mentor junior and mid\-level data engineers, promoting best practices in software engineering, CI/CD, and data pipeline management. Requirements \& Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. * 5\+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or software engineering. * Advanced proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java. * Hands\-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). * Proficiency with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and big data frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark). * Professional fluency in Spanish; intermediate to advanced professional English skills.
