A Bartender’s success is not solely based on the ability to correctly prepare drinks for guests; it also requires creating a unique and memorable experience for customers. The Bartender possesses foundational skills but continuously seeks new market trends and understands evolving guest needs. This role is not merely about enthusiasm for beverages—it is about being the bar host. The Bartender steps beyond the bar itself to take personal responsibility for guests’ direct experience. Using knowledge and effort, the Bartender achieves perfection in both appearance and function of the bar. The Bartender builds relationships with colleagues across the hotel and within the local community. Passion for each guest’s experience must be evident—attention to detail matters: money passing through their hands, information provided to guests, and pride in drink quality.
In every position, certain fundamental principles are essential for success—for example, maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, respecting confidentiality, protecting company assets, upholding quality standards, and ensuring professional appearance, attire, and communication at all times. Guest Service Specialists are constantly on the move—they stand, sit, walk extensively, and perform various tasks (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance; reaching upward, kneeling, twisting, stretching, and bending). It is essential that Guest Service Specialists perform their best work (and other reasonable tasks requested) to ensure guest stay success and our business success.
